    We have similar looking fish here, but their northern snakeheads, or similar looking burbots. At any rate both are edible. I catch a lot of 12-13'' yellow perch on the lake here for lunch, along with kokanee, rainbow, and brown trout. There's plenty of chain pickerel, and largemouth bass also...

    2nd battery

    The sun energise 12 volt 20 watt solar battery charger I have came with at least a 10' cable, and a multitude of plug disconnect wires, along with a pair of alligator clip connectors to choose from. It's pretty simple to just unclamp the battery, or disconnect the cable plug when time to go.

    All I can comment on is that I have a solar panel charger for my boat that uses a deep cycle battery. It's connected up pretty much all summer till I take the boat out on the lake. Imo, you'd not want this type charger permanently hooked up all the time on a truck. Its just not a wise idea.
