Pure gas is the only thing that gave me better mileage. Octane rating never really matters much to me except in the summer when it's really hot. I usually run a little higher octane because my truck seems to knock in hot weather.

You sure you got a new fuel filter? They are in the tank and don't need to be changed from what I recall.

Push the clutch ALL the way to the floor. If it's never been in 4 LO before it's going to be stubborn. Try going forward a little, try it. back up a little, try it. Turn the wheels a little and go forward again, try it. I have to mash my foot through the floorboard to get it to go sometimes.

Damn dude that sucks. Hope you are made whole again. Pray that it's totaled.
