It will definitely handle just fine but a little weight never hurt! I like to wait until it's a problem and then just shovel some snow into the bed for free weight. Should be keeping a shovel with you anyways. Best of all just buy a leer or snugtop shell, those bitches are heavy.

Yeah, took my 2nd gen to a transmission place one time and they said the 6 spd tacomas were one of the only trannys they refused to work on

Yeah, magnum manufacturing. Looks great and I can put 20' 2x4s on top of rack to tailgate easily. Led lights work for brakes/turn and reverse are bright as hell. Just splice into trailer harness quick and easy
