    If you read the manual I believe it says some noise is normal. I don't know about the lunging though.

    I saw that video. I wouldn't say the gen 2 destroyed the gen 3, but you have to account for the distance that they were racing. A little more and the gen 3 would have eventually pulled ahead. My truck has enough power to easily throw me against my seat.

    It's real simple - press the ECT button. With ECT engaged my Tacoma feels faster than my 2006 Silverado with the 5.3 V8. Sport mode will allow you to rev the RPM even higher and give you more power. These 2016's have no shortage of HP.

    It's common. Mine still does it in neutral though. It seems like it may be a problem with the driveshaft that goes back to the previous model Tacomas. I'm planning on having my driveshaft, u-joints and ds angle checked out.

    You also don't need to hold the button in. Just hold the brake and press and release the button. If that doesn't start it then something is wrong.

    A friend of mine had one of those old Corollas in high school. It was brown with a manual transmission and no power steering. We always laughed at the fact that his girlfriend had the exact same car, but it was light blue. They even had the same bumper sticker.
