What I mean is when the transmission automatically drops down into first gear when coming to a stop. It seems to cause my brakes to grab too hard and makes it nearly impossible to come to a smooth stop.

Does the SSP help with the hard downshifts when coming to a stop?

Just make sure you clay bar first.

It fixed yours? I've noticed if I have to come to a quick stop the issue isn't there.

Mine vibrates too. The dealer installed some axle shims which helped a little.

Anybody know of a fix for the touchy brakes on the Off Road models. It's nearly impossible to come to a smooth stop. The closer the truck comes to stopping the more the brakes grab.

Put a glass of water in the cup holder and see if you can get a video of the water vibrating in case the dealer tries to say they couldn't recreate the problem.

+1 I start washing when the sun gets low to avoid baked in water spots and then dry with some Meguiar's Water Magnet towels.

6 60lb. sand bags did the trick for me.

I have to put sand bags in my bed. My truck fish tails in the snow and the weight helps.

Haha yep, just lurking in the shadows lately. It turned out that my brake light was cracked all the way through. My dealer determined it was due to a screw being over tightened, it was replaced under warranty.

My brakes grab. It seems to be common on Off Road models. The brake booster apparently is the cause of it.

It's still under warranty. Hopefully my dealership will cooperate.

I just noticed that my 3rd brake light (center hight mount brake light) has a mysterious crack that starts at the bezel and extends down through the lense about a quarter of the way. Just wondering if any of you have noticed this on your truck?
