They couldn't replicate it on my truck unfortunately. I'm not sure they would even know how to fix it though.

You should open a case with Toyota about the brake problem. My truck does the same thing. The more cases they have the more likely they are to address it.

Oh sorry, you want things fixed that aren't broken. Ok, here's what you do. Get down so you are eye level with the bottom of your stereo unit. Then, with as much force as possible, head butt the screen. You'll be killing two birds with one stone - your stereo will no longer annoyingly work like...

Look, if you're going to be a smart ass you aren't going to get any help around here. Bottom line, you can't turn the unit off the way you can turn off an older type of stereo head. If you want to talk about what you want to do vs. What you can do, that's another thread entirely.

All you need to do is press the power button rather than hold it in. You won't get a blank screen, but the audio will turn off. To turn the screen off go to 'Settings', then at the bottom of the screen tap 'Screen Off'.
