With the button engaged ALL noticeable airflow is stopped in my 2016 - not even a trickle.

It also stops outside air from coming through the vents when the AC is off.

adhesive That's exactly what we're talking about. Open the hood and look where the sheet metal meets the hood assembly. You'll see several spots where adhesive was applied. The adhesive is painted, but it is obvious that it's adhesive. Press up on the hood sheet metal at those adhesive points...

Just got my truck back from the dealer. Hood bonds were reglued and it seems to be fine now.

Mine does it too. I just had my truck at the dealer for it. I specifically asked that they check the driveshaft, but instead they did an alignment and balanced the wheels. Obviously this had no effect on the vibration. I'm going to try a different dealership and hopefully get the same fix that...

I was told by my service department back in April that they know what the cause is. I was also told that a TSB was going to be issued in May. My truck is currently at the dealer for other issues, and they told me that the TSB still has not been issued.

Can you tell where the noise is coming from?

My guess is it's not likely. You should be able to buy a paint touch-up pen for 10 or 15 bucks.

I went to one of the Toyota lots near my house and checked all of the Tacoma hoods. There were 7 on the lot, and 6 of them had flimsy hoods.

After looking at the underside of my hood, some of the adhesive is definitely not bonded to the sheet metal. Looks like I'll be taking a gamble on the compitencey of my dealership service department to fix this.

My city trips resulted in maybe a two mpg increase with 91 octane, and for some reason the transmission seemed to stop jumping into a high gear when accelerating.

I thought maybe it was just flimsy metal, but I've come across other owners saying that they've had to get this fixed. My doors seem to have a little bounce when I close them, but I'm guessing this might be normal.
