Never noticed a difference using the ECT AKA Electronic Controlled Turbo button at highway speeds. It does work great in street driving thou!

Isn't there a way to turn off the pre collision stuff, and still use cruise control? Without having to take a road trip with a bunch of warning lights flashing on your dash.

I made an appointment to have the recall done on my sensor thing. I also have an aftermarket grill. I asked the service dude about it, and he looked at it and said no worries. In and out in 45 min.

I can't complain. Actually get around 21 MPG if I drive the speed limit. I have a hard time doing that. Around 80 MPH I average 18 to 19 MPG with a 4x4 V6 auto. When I fill up my truck only shows about 350 miles to empty at best, sometimes 330 miles.

A one inch body lift on an old Jeep aint bad, but not on a truck...feel the same about blocks and spacer lifts.

Had an appointment today at 2:00 to get the fix done to my pre collision thing. I was there for 45 minutes and they never gave me any worries about my aftermarket grill. Honestly don't see how what they did would help anything, but if something did happen in the future my @ss will be covered.

I'd planned on going with 265/70-17, but didn't want to take more of a hit in gas mileage. I lost about 1.5 MPG just going with the wider tires. Not sure but if you go wider than 265, you may need wheel spacers, or offset wheels. I'm just guessing here...honestly have no clue.

Nope. Only time it's off road is the beach. I bought a 4x4 SR5, only thing I've done to it for beach driving was switched the stock wheels and tires. From 245-75/16 to 265/65-17 Toyo Open Country AT's. Almost exactly the same height, but around 1 1/2" wider.

I wanted to lift mine till I read great multitudes of threads on lifts. Cutting cab mounts. Alignment problems. Stock or aftermarket UCA's. Weird sounds. Vibrations when taking off and slowing down. CV joint angle. Shimming the rear leaf springs. Loss of MPG with bigger tires. List goes on...

Good deal...if ya don't need a truck.

That's the radar thing behind the Toyota emblem on the grill...right? Only time mine gave me any trouble was once when driving on I-4 thru a torrential rain storm. The light came on a couple times for a few seconds, but the brake never applied.

I know. About 4 or 5 foot of body lift and never gained that much ground clearance.
