Thanks! Bilstein 5100s up front set at 2.5" and a 2" aal in the rear. 265/75/16s. Used a hair dryer to heat glue on emblems and peeled off with fishing line, then just painted black and glued them back on.

No problem. Like I said it's been at least 10 years since I've had anything to do with a skateboard so I'm sure a lot has changed. And I don't have experience with the larger soft wheels. If you have any skate shops nearby they usually have different board setups that he can try out

90a is still pretty hard. 75-80a would be more ideal for staying on the asphalt. I know the larger the wheel the faster it is but I don't know how much a few mm really affects this, all I've really used are smaller wheels, but like I said even with my small wheels my board was pretty fast even...

Depends on who you talk to. I've heard that you definitely need them with 3" lift and up. Below that is up to you. I have 2.5" lift with stock uca's and alignment isn't perfect but not off enough to cause uneven tire wear.

The type of wheel really depends on what type of skating he wants to learn. If he wants to learn tricks and go to the skatepark then he's gonna want hard wheels.
