I’m not sure if this helps but I just put 305/55-20’s on my five lugger I’ll be honest it was a lot of work , but most of it was done with lift kits I got off of eBay I installed a 3” body& a 3” suspension lift and the result was astounding I’m now very happy with my tacoma

They dont make ome kits for first gens If i go with the 5100 can i keep the leaf spring shackles that came with the rough country kit for lift on the rear end

Toyota doesn’t “make” lifts. They use lift kits that are manufactured by other companies like bilstein, Fox, readylift, revtek etc. Every dealer is going to be different on what “dealer approved” lift they use. Most use spacer lifts. Some use readylift, some use revtek. They will also install...

Hello Taco world, i am looking to add a loft kit, but not sure what works best. My aim ia to still utilize the truck on the road but at the same time have the flexibility when going offroad, so nothing too crazy such as stage 4 fox kits. Any suggestions?

That's reading :confused: ... I wouldn't use wheel spacers but people do and it's their truck.

Makes total since. You would be happy with any of the toytec or OME kits. Search toytec tacoma lift or old man emu Tacoma lift. After a 2.5-3" lift you can do up to 285/75/16 tires and wheels you'll want around a zero "0" off-set. With stock wheels you can run 265/75/16 any wider you'll need...

There are different springs you can get with the OME lift that will vary the lift. Any extra weight up front will also impact this too of course.

Look at the comparable old man emu and toytech kits.

Toyota recommended this kit to maintain same factory ride. They install these kits on all new lifted taco's they sell at the dealers. How am i losing 3" of travel ? Sure feels the same when I drive it.
