    Spare tire for 2007 SR5

Yes, I'm afraid that's what will need to happen. When I cranked it back up, it appears that the round part on the winch that the hook shaped end goes into broke off. I should have checked underneath and stopped when the tire was all the way up. I didn't think I turned it that hard once it...

    Spare tire for 2007 SR5

It is hanging there, and I know it's the same full size tire as the rest. My question was if it does need to be the same size unlike cars. Trouble is it's stuck hanging there, the winch broke. Also, it's 16 years old and maybe time to get a replacement due to dry rot, but it seems to be holding...

    Spare tire for 2007 SR5

The tires I have now are P245/75R16. Should the spare be the same tire since it's 4WD, unlike a 'donut' on a typical car?

Needle and thread. I've actually become pretty good at sewing on missing buttons.

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

I see Tex. To tell the truth, putting groceries or whatever in the back is kind of a pain with the suicide doors. You must open the front door, and leave it at least partially open so the back door can open - and that's not in the right direction with your items behind it in a cart. I usually...

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

I heard the 2024 Access Cab's back doors don't open. At least they still offer a manual transmission, but I don't think on the Access Cab.

Is the 4th Gen Taco a hit or a miss?

Oh I didn't hear about burning oil as well. My '07 2.7L Tacoma leaks some oil, but I know it's still a great engine.

Is the 4th Gen Taco a hit or a miss?

Good idea. The 2007+ GMC 5.3L V8 engines, the standard in 1/2 ton pickup trucks used AFM, Active Fuel Management I think it's called - to reduce the cylinders in use from 8 to 4 in certain conditions. All kinds of information on how to disable that. Many times when someone purchases a truck with...

Is the 4th Gen Taco a hit or a miss?

So many times now at a stoplight I'll hear other vehicles start again om the green light. That's the first thing of with that feature, how the starter will hold out. On my cave-man technology Tacoma the starter is typically used less than 20 times a week, I've heard good things about the Prius.

Is the 4th Gen Taco a hit or a miss?

I'd rather go for longer range than 300+hp., especially in a Tacoma. I know this refers to the Hybrid, but many EVs seem to emphasize very high power rather than range.

    those one-word song titles...

Not that 'one' yet, pun intended I guess! I don't use Google for music trivia. I've spent a crazy amount of money over the years on music.

    those one-word song titles...

I apologize if it's already listed and realize I'll get a demerit - I didn't read every one. One - Three Dog Night was my first thought. Likely already mentioned. Jeez, many of these bands/artists I've never heard of. Showing my age, I listen to music very often but haven't listened to FM...

Yes I've seen that on the news. Glad it 'cooled' down!

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

I actually liked seeing that shot of the northernmost road. I don't do well in hot weather.

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

Connecticut, I've been to Texas a few times for training years ago in the Irving area. And cool - I see your 2020 is a manual!

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

Yeah I've seen that the 3.5 V6 with the automatic rivals the fuel economy of the previous gen 4 cylinder.

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

Mine is a 2nd gen. Just looked at my notes - in the winter average was around 19.5 mpg. Some of that due to warm ups in the morning. My commute is mostly good for fuel economy, about 25-40% highway, then 45-50 mph with not many stops. Some hills though. Still, you're getting 20+ mpg which...

Why when I select Watch on a thread does it say 'Are you sure you want to unwatch this thread'? I thought if I was watching, I'd have an Unwatch option.

Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

With the warmer weather (not that hot yet!) here I'm averaging around 22.7 mpg. Not bad for a mid sized 4WD truck in my opinion. I attribute that to the 2.7L and 5 speed manual transmission.

Is the 4th Gen Taco a hit or a miss?

I've heard the term Automated Manuals, but wasn't sure what the difference was from a conventional automatic. Interesting how they're computer based now, and can see hills and shift accordingly. Amazing a transmission programming update can now be done over the air.
