My first vehicle was almost a Subaru from the early 80s model
But they wanted 1800$ and I only had 1200$ saved from the burger joint
So had to settle for something else!

I too had a thing for the Suburu Brat. The old lady four houses down bought a brand new 79 and would come to our house once a month and my mom would cut/shap/dye/curl her hair and and we'd just sit in the back seats bolted to the bed. They had those astronaut suit handles you held onto. So freaking cool.
