per peer pressure from tacoJoel I went with his highly touted kumho brand

new wheels are genuine parts and make the taco POP like a tart pickle

Idk how highly touted these tires are yet. I can only claim they're much better than the firestone destination le2 stock tires after a couple weeks on them. So far I like them on my gen3 taco. They have a very smooth, and quiet ride, and stuck to the road like glue in the rain. Imo, they seem to be a good value for the money.
If getting these tires just be sure its the P type that are SL rated, and not those E ply ones.

You don't need those heavier E rated tires if just cruising normal roads. Their for carrying loads/towing, or doing serious off-roading.

almost 2k miles now into these kumho tires
good traction on hard stopping in the early slick wintery sloppp

anxious AF to see how they Really perform once the drone is nipped...

I probably have a little over 400 miles on mine. They seem to have less roll in sharp corners than the Firestone destinations, otherwise they are a smoother riding tire.

Just returned from a 10 mile round trip into town for an errand this morning before this snowstorm gets too wound up....got about an 1'' of wet snow on the roads so far. Traction was a lot better than the worn firestones. Traction light only flickered once while going up this steep hill at 50 mph. I'd be spinning in places with the stock tires.
