Blacking out emblems.

I’m thinking of putting the black vinyl overlays over the Tacoma emblems on the door instead of pulling them. I like the way a slight amount of chrome ties in. I did it to the V6 I pulled off the tailgate to see how it would look. What do y’all think?

Sweet. They go on easily.
The only thing is that they come on a precut template that doesn’t match up perfectly to the lettering. So just do one letter at a time.
You’ll need to peel the white cardboard off the back and then just take your time. It’s easy and they seem to be very durable.

I did exactly what you did with the sticker over lays and after a while they fad a little. I ended up getting the emblem covers in black that cover all of the emblem. They are $99 for your whole truck. Just specify what model you have. Either EBAY or Amazon have them.

Plasti dip. Works good. It's been on my emblems for 2 years and still looks new

I was about to buy a can of the plastiderp when I saw these overlays. That may be my next option when these fade, since it’s so easy.
I honestly liked the way the chrome shows a little around the decals.
It’ll be between that and debadging.
