Depending on how many lights I hit, I get some ware between 14.6 and 16.3, all city driving. Nowhere near the 19 mpg rated. V6 4x4 XtraCab.

Well, I live in Greater Phoenix area and am running my AC. 1400 miles and am now getting 14.9 mpg.

I checked my fluid with the engine cold (90 degrees F) and it was full. I guess my hesitation from reverse to drive is not as reported on this forum.

I am very glad to have found this thread. That lag has been frustrating me sense I picked up me Taco 4x4 (I removed the TURD). Love the truck but that lag was bothering me. The wind noise is also bad but that's another thread. I'll check the transmission fluid tonight!

It is impossible for the calipers to break free. The pads would be the issue, but more than likely it's the anti lock control kicking in. I find that I have to let up on the break pedal when the Taco is near stopping. I have the towing package so I assumed it was due to that package. Is...

From a mechanical standpoint, driving in a straight line slower than the maximum stress the drive gears can take is no problem but don't turn! The Taco has limited slip differentials and would be torn apart easily on pavement.

Tacoma V6 with towing package and Electronics package. Hard tanue cover. Just the stock front bumper. Love it. Steering wheel is a little close to the drivers seat. But I guess the designers are a little shorter than I am. I hear air from between the doors. Not a really good design for noise...
