Hi, I'm new her and have just purchased a 2016 Tacoma 4x4 with electronics and towing package. I got the V6 so I could tow my 53 Willys. I love the truck and find Tacos great as well. Thanks for naming this the Taco forum. I'm not getting the stated 19 mpg. Actually, my milage is 15.9. Anyone else getting the same milage?

I only get 15.5 on flat terrain that is Florida.? But i also are still in the break in period, 400 miles on the truck. Post picImageUploadedByTaco Forum1461254875.673850.jpg

Mine was around 13 city driving on flat ground when I first got it. 400 miles later it's almost 15. It gets better with time.

I get nearly 22 mpg driving the same way i drove my 4ltr tacoma getting no better than 18 mpg. 10% better gas mileage is pretty impressive for the same basic truck.

Double Cab, TRD Off-Road 4x4 with V6 and short bed

Just Finished driving fromSan Diego to Mammoth. 22 mpg average. Not bad considering all the headwinds and hills. Had a bed full of mountain bikes, fishing gear, and misc luggage, too. I'm happy.

4,000 miles and still getting below 15mpg, maybe i should shift into 6th at 30mph like the automatic trucks?

My automatic runs around 2000 rpm. I bet you are running your a bit higher rpm
It feels a bit more doggy than if I was shifting by feel in a manual tranny

1250 rpm at 50
2000 rpm at 75
