Finally I've purchased my first Taco, a 2017 TRD sport 4x4. Sales person is encouraging me to pick up the extended warranty. I've come to understand the tacoma is reliable and durable. Any thoughts on why I should pick up one? Quoted about $2,200 bumper to bumper for 8 years.

Nice to have the electronic controlled locking differential and CRAWL among other features on the off road version. I'm going back and forth in trying to make that buying decision. Will be my first 4x4 truck. Looking at the long term ownership, would think the maintenance/repair will cost more...

Does the TRDs roll off with an alarm or at least the horn goes off if someone breaks and open a locked door? Reason I'm asking is that if there is no anti-theft from the factory, I want to order an aftermarket car alarm before my truck comes in.

Very excited to be reading the 2017 taco brochure. Looks like it's coming down to the TRD sport though I'm don't know if I'll go with the off road version and a 4x4. Maybe it's not a big deal but personally I'm not a fan on the black trim on the fenders on the off road version. My experience...
