    No jack or tool kit

Thanks for the welcome, and yes, if I had a flat, the bottle jack would not fit between the ground and the frame. Needed someone to come along and lift on the truck a little to force it under, or dig a little dirt out from under the frame. Once I was in the pasture about 3 1/2 miles from home...

    2005 tacoma clutch master cylinder

On the old yotas I have had, the clutch master cylinder was the only part I had to replace. Never the slave cylinder. Got a clutch master cylinder from OReilly's, it was the hardest to get adjusted. The ones from autozone worked fine. My first yota was an 88, later found a low mileage 91 that...

Help with buying an older tacoma

If you buy a regular cab truck, they are about half the cost of extended and double cabs. Especially in 2 wheel drive. If you can find a used car dealer who will buy you a truck at the dealer auction for a reasonable fee, you can save.

How were you able to buy a Tacoma

I bought a regular cab truck because they cost half of what the others sell for. And I am a tightwad. Don't have to make a million dollars a year if you watch your pennies. The last new truck I bought was an 88, and it was on a closeout sale. The used toyotas I priced were more. Had NO ac or...

    Anyone else like the basics?

I have a basic and it is great with me, tried to find a stick shift, but none close by, so decided to settle for an auto. Want to add cruise, but I like crank windows, no automatic locks, no smart key, and don't need an extended cab or double cab, because mostly I drive by myself. Like the...

How to get rid of Door Chime

A fellow I know added a toggle switch to the door panel, so he could shut off the chime, was considering doing that myself. Sure nice to leave the door open and turn up the radio when you are working nearby the truck.

    No jack or tool kit

I have a buddy in Wichita, who has a car lot, he bought the truck in OKC, and HE forgot to check. But it was such a great deal, I am not complaining. Great to have a friend in the car business.

    No jack or tool kit

Just got home with my new to me 14 model basic Tacoma, checked behind seat, and found the jack and tool kit missing. Checked on ebay, and the tool kits are available, but jacks seem scarce. Is there a source for a scissor jack that will work, my experience with the 91 yota I had a few years...

    Looking for a taco!

Look on the true car website, click used, select toyota, and when the first tacoma shows up, click on the tacoma. You have to put in your zip code, and it will list the tacos at dealers near you.
