    Damn...I ran 4.56 gears in a 69 SS 396 Chevelle I had.

I could get from Cincinnati to Lexington KY. on a tank of gas. About a 80 mile trip.

Wowzers. I never ran better than 4.10s on the street!

(Revised cause I forgot about a Pontiac Catalina sleeper I made a few dollars with. But I never went road tripping with it!)

    Mine came stock with 4.10's.

I drove it to my grand parents farm a few times.

    When I re-gear it'll be 5.29's...
Only want to spend the $$$$ once and I'm not convinced that 4.88's will satisfy since I have 4.30 already...

A big ass Pontiac with a 389, low riser, 4.10s instead of highway gears, shift kit, etc turned a dime or two for me.

I’m thinking it’s hard to surprise anyone in an SS Chevelle. But I get ya.
