Looking for any known issues like the post above. I’m not sure I want to cut anything on my brand new truck.I have a Rough Country 4" lift. At least I believe it is. Spacers, blocks, diff drop. What do you want to know?
I have the 4x4If you are a prerunner, you can use spindles instead.
Here's another junk spacer lift example,... (Toytecs were sitting in the garage)The 4inch Junk Country kit requires front crossmember cutting to fit the drop bracket which reduces ground clearance. The front also used spacers for the shocks which can bend shocks. Also looks like the front bump stops limit travel at the upper control arm.
Here's an example of a bent shock:

I've been running my 4" lift for awhile now, didn't cut anything, nothing's broke. Everything is a lot tighter so it's not good for any kind of flexing.
The key is to get a kit with uniball UCAs. They help protect from most issues with spacer lifts. I also don't recommend spacer lifts to anyone. Mine came with the used suspension I bought so I left it on.
I have the 3” revtek pro 40013 ($600 installed) it uses in-coil spacers up front and an AAL in back. In-coil spacers will limit up travel but you won’t have the issues of down travel and the risk is less for damaging the shock. Don’t get me wrong the risk is still there. I’ve taken my DCLB OR off road many times and it’s done fine. I wouldn’t desert race or jump it. Get fox if that’s your thing. You can put 285/75/16 tires on and get 4” over stock with this set up. I will say that the ride sucks with spacers it does make everything stiffer.Looking for any known issues like the post above. I’m not sure I want to cut anything on my brand new truck.

thanks for the input. Local guy I found is charging $700 for the headstrong bilstein kit with an alignment so I guess that’s not too bad. I am waiting for headstrong to respond, but are UCA necessary with their bilstein kit do you know?I have the 3” revtek pro 40013 ($600 installed) it uses in-coil spacers up front and an AAL in back. I would recommend spending $1200 and getting 887 coils and better shocks either 90000 or 5100’s and a progressive AAL.
If you’ve got grands to spend get (1)King’s OEM, (2)OME BP-51 or (3)FOX 2.5
All spacers pretty much act the same. Some use in-coil some use above coil and some use a combination of the two. Out of the three the in coil has the least amount of risk to damage but they all make the ride stiffer and they all pretty much suck. Spend a little more and get something that uses coils and shocks to lift the truck not spacers. That’s my experience.thanks for the input. Only reason I posted this too was so many people ****ting on RC because “they heard” it sucks with out actually experiencing first hand.
Exactly what he said. I still OffRoad a little bit, but not super heavy stuff. All spacers pretty much act the same. Some use in-coil some use above coil and some use a combination of the two.
