Air Intake

I have a 2012 base model 4x4 4 door tow package. I have a scoop on the hood but it's not activated. Is there a way to have that be my main intake? Right now it is coming from the wheel wel

It has been done but it is a lot of work for no benefit.

Make sure to get your truck computer reflash to accommodate more air coming through the engine.

There isn't much more air going in with an intake that's why they mostly do nothing.
