Bed weight for winter?

This is true as well, and I DIDNT think of that. Just the centripetal force aspect. ;) good thunk
Only time I ever used sand bags was the first 2 months I lived in Reno with a 2wd Ram. A coworker recommended I "throw a couple back there by the tailgate" but I really didn't feel the need for it. But a couple weeks later is when I bought that '10 OR with all the spacers. ALL .... the spacers... [emoji1787]
Still didn't need the sand bags anymore though... lol

*they even put a shim between the block and the leaf... o_0

However much a bed full of snow weighs.... haha

I usually don't worry about it in a 4x4 but you could get a few sacks of sand and toss them by the tailgate if your worried.
Just for the hell of it I keep a couple bags of sand in my bed. 60 pounds each. They cost like $6.00 at Menards.

Ive always put 3 or 4 50lb. bags of sand in my old tacos they were both 2wd a 97 and an 11’ and never had a problem in a lot of bad weather. I now have a 2018 4wd four door l/b and I plan to put a few bags in the back of it too. Good luck with your new truck.
