Bilistein 5100 lift

has anybody here used the OME coilovers with the adjustable 5100's ? i've read somewhere theyr'e not a great combo? true or bs?
amazon has a good deal on, well here it is:

  • ARB 2884 OME coil spring
  • KYB SM5640 - mount kit
  • Bilstein 5100's
cost totaling $537 about. and if you qualify for the amazon credit card they give you a $70 credit.

Yes, set the 5100s at the BOTTOM setting (zero lift).
Dont forget a 1/4" lean spacer for the drivers side.

What is the mount kit for?

its a 2007 tacoma, base crew cab with the 6 ft bed. what do you mean leave the 5100's at zero lift? will the 2884' springs give it the lift i want? i think a 2' lift is best.

Basically, use the proper coils and let them do the job, not the 5100s.

885 offer 2" lift on a stock truck according to this

884 looks like 1.5 - 1.75"

Well this seems new, people have been running ome coils on 5100s for years, but...
From toytecs site

Fitment Notes:

  • OME front coils can only be installed with OME Nitrocharger struts and coil seats

I think it’s a warranty thing. They won’t guarantee them if paired with the 5100’s. I’ve seen many people do it anyways.
