Front diff drop

If I lifted the front of the taco do I need to do the front diff drop kit if I only bumped up 1.5 inches ?I read all over the internet and get many answers ?

I always vote no. I'm lifted 2" without one with no issues for several months. I removed them from a previous taco and ran it for years at 3" with no issues.
