Loud clunk

So there's a loud clunk when I shift from drive to reverse and vice versa... I know it's driveline related, but is it common or severe? I've had a few people take a look at it as well as myself and none of us can find anything truly wrong with it without taking it off to do more extensive research

Yeah I have this problem too, it's when I go from Park to Reverse. I'm not sure why it does that, if there's a solution for this fix I'm all ears.

Mine does pretty much the same thing except I wouldn't necessarily call mine a "loud" cluck. I've been told mine may be the floating brake pads. Don't know...never heard it in any truck I've owned previously.

The pads should be a metallic "clack"... not a low freq "thud".
The driveline thud will also be "felt"..... pads shifting will not be felt
