2002 Tacoma manual transmission Wont Accelerate 2 wheel drive 2.4l
I was driving down a hill today and hear a weird pop noise, was not too loud. She got me another 3 miles with no issues. I stopped at a red light then she started accelerated very poorly. I drove her about a mile and stopped again. Tried to see if she would accelerate and she would not. Engine sounds fine. No funny noises or smells prior to the pop. She has about 150k on her. no engine codes. Does anyone know where I should start looking for the problem?

Sounds like the engines turbo's boost tube blew off.
Seriously, gotta get jay here to chime in with some ideas...he's the gen1 manual transmission guy.

Also with engine on she shifts into all gears with no need to press clutch pedal. When I press clutch petal she feels normal. Also my 2002 Tacoma 2.4l is stock so no turbo.

I just checked under truck and the cross member is not removable.... I heard it can be a pain to get transmission out because of this. It looks like if you unbolt the transmission and roll it back, then drop the front out first she wound come out. Does anyone have experience with this 2.4l manual transmissions? All tips and tricks would be very helpful.

This video at 1:48 show what my cross member looks like.

Also found this video to get
but has removable crossmember.
