Holiday sale on OEM parts, 41% off MSRP!

Good deal if genuine being made in Thailand as pictured....not such a great deal if it comes from elsewhere...it could be bogus.
I've bought oil filters for my 3.5 engine that cost me $5 apiece, but it comes the caps drain-do-hickey, 2 o-rings, plus the filter itself.

pricey seals for gen2 bearing orderd
plus genuine oil filters

a toyota dealer would not ever source a genuine filter from anywhere else would they? they have to source parts straight from toyota parts i thot

They're not suppose to...at least for warranty purposes. I wouldn't put it past for some dealers selling bogus parts out the back door like on amazon, or ebay. Big japanese companies like toyota tend to police their dealers fairly well.

They are supposed to last very long time if properly maintenanced
Yeah, as long as you keep replacing them with new parts. The only advantage I see with these toyota's when new, is their more reliable over a longer period than our domestics. Once your passed that age, their like all the rest...they become a money pit. You now have reached that stage.... to know when enough is enough, or you'll eventually end up broke with worthless truck.
I've come to the conclusion, especially with these gen1 forums, that there are those perfectly capable, having all the means to service these tacoma's, and then those that just have to own one cause they think there cool wanting to be like these other guys, except have no knowledge, of all the expenses what they may be getting into.

if it still run well and get around well how the F is worthless you say
I suppose it would be worth something as a farm vehicle, or a winter crasher to some people like a young kid. Certainly not mainstream around here for people that have to commute to work everyday.
