I have a 2015 Tacoma with the factory towing package. I'm buying a boat and the trailer has surge brakes. I know I need an adapter to go from 7 to 5 pin. The trailer dealer where I purchased the adapter indicated I would need some type of tail light/turn signal converter. Says it has something to do with tail lights and turn signals being separate..... I have not been able to find anything for this truck that sounds like what was described to me.
Do I need any additional wiring or is the 7 to 5 pin adapter all? Thanks!
