So did the TSB work make any difference? I had a 2007 that did not make this noise. I did not but a 1950 IH log truck.

I finally called Toyota and opened a claim for the rear diff whine. This was on the 9th. Should I have heard from them by now? Two days after calling I went in for my 20k miles service. They have looked at the rear diff at my 10k service. Anyway they told me to wait to hear back on the claim...

I have some scratches in plastic interior parts like the door panel and console. What would I use to cover these?

Thanks. I guess I will call cooperate …… No there are no leaks at all. The dealer said they pulled the cover and inspected the gears. Its very strange starts at 58 and goes away at 64. Driving on the freeway at 70+ silent.

Driving to work this morning..drinking my coffee and trying enjoy the silence. Nope not happening I have this howl coming from the rear end. My 2007 did not do this..... I paid good money for this truck....it was so quiet when I bought it. I am calling Toyota …..

Yea I told the service rep that was not a very good answer lol...… They did document it, so it on record if that is worth anything. I was in the military for 13 years and I have very bad hearing, so if I can hear it. I am going to change the diff fluid to a synthetic and see if that helps.

I went to the dealer today for my 10k service. They had 4 techs look at the diff..... Final answer from Toyota …..that is just the way it is.

Yes I bought the curt harness. I saw the oem connector when I was installing the hitch and that got me wondering.....lol

I do not have the tow package.....

I just added a Curt hitch to my 17 SR 4x4. I ordered a wiring kit also. My question is there is a open connector right behind the hitch on the underside of the bed. Aslo with the open connector by the license plate. Is there not a oem wiring harness available???? Thanks

I guess I was not clear....my bad. There is a TSB or recall? On the rear diff of the TRD off road and maybe sport? I was just wondering if any SR owners has had the issue? I am going to the dealer in 2k miles.

really....I bought the truck brand new.

oh forgot....I am a ocd kind of guy. I changed my oil at 1k and at 5k. Mobil 1 with oem filter.
