I’d like to hear gas mileage/performance improvement (not just noise data).
With an average of 2% increate in MPG it will pay for itself in.............. 14 years. By my calculations.
Totally worth it, then.
Gotta love that K&N heat fence.
Absolutely! As long as it pays for itself before the truck craps out, you're good.
Steel or aluminum?
Because added weight negates the 2% increase?
Curious if one dissipated heat better.... Plastic does a good job of resisting heatsoak i think
It keeps it warm for you while you're fritter shopping.
Plastic makes the most sense.
While it looks "cool", it's $300 wasted, IMO.
Except that it doesn't even look cool.
It's hard for me to understand how it's a cold air intake when primarily is sucking air from the engine compartment where its warm from the engine? I was looking into the s&b one cause its completely sealed off from the compartment
Look at that valve cover... that metal intake tube has got to get toasty sitting there. Im curious if heat wrap would be beneficial.
Def wouldn't hurt anything...
