Growing duckweed for my tilapia food
I only feed the tilapia lettuce
Well now that's interesting John. I've never heard of anyone having a stock pond with tilapia. That's pretty cool!
Its funny i started with a small container i have around the house
Throw in some guppies they had so much babies i wanted a bigher tank i end up with a stock tank and so on
Then add tilapia and catfish
Its really relaxing watching them swimming around
Plus the bog filter i used is over kill
Duckweed to feed my tilapias
For now they are only eating lettuce lol
I dont wanna feed them pellets
The only tilapia I've ever seen is in the freezer section at Walmart.
Im liking this hobby so far
Makes me relaxed at the back of my house
Fun! I have a saltwater tank and build/fly/crash RC airplanes
Salt water must be hard to take care lol
It’s not bad if you spend the money up front.. going to do a reef only tank next when I upgrade.. that will be hard
How often would you changed water with a salt water tank
Getting ready to set up my ibc tote for growing my tilapia
15 large tilapia should be big enough
I only do 25% water change once a month , but I filter 12x the water volume an hour so that helps...
I used to do freshwater aquariums. At one point I had 8 tanks ranging from 5 gallon to 55 gallons. I did 50% water changes on them all every month, twice a month if the water test required it. Too much work to move so I sold the all when I bought my new house.
I love kayaking !
Got any pictures you can post?
That looks like a good time!
We went to another place down cape called luitenit's island the causeway floods at high tide ! No way to get on or off expect to wade of the island. That's my wife standing in the road pulling the kayak .there has to be a joke in there somewhere ? How' d the kayak cross the road ? Ah wait for high tide lmao!
