Do any of y'all notice a decrease in radio reception when you plug a cell phone in to your console to charge? Maybe it's just because of where I live nearly all my radio stations turn to static when I plug my phone in to charge. For those with the wireless charge pad, do you have the same ussue?

Never had the problem in my 2006 GMC from day one till it was sold 12 years later and no problems in my 2018 Tacoma. Try another charge cable and see if the trouble goes away.

Wait - is this some kind if joke? My phone is in a canvas bag like everyone else. What's this fancy, futuristic looking thing?

If you can play your phone through the radio with the usb, that may be because the power is actually coming from the radio.

I unplugged my power cord from the adapter in my center console and plugged it in to the USB in the dash. Huh! No radio interference. The problem must be the power adapter I have in the center console. o_O

Apparently the transformer in the adapter generated enough interference to block all but the strongest radio stations. As long as I don't use the phone for GPS the dash USB puts out enough power to charge the phone - slowly. :(

The radio reception in my 2013 just plain sucks... Cell phone or no cell phone. FM reception in my 2001 Tacoma was fine. Must be Toyota made some "improvements" for the Gen 2.
