I’ve got a 2005 1500 5.3L, and I’m thinking about upgrading the headers for more power and a better exhaust note. I’m not looking for a full race setup, just something noticeable but still reliable for daily use.
I’m curious about sound differences between different types, installation headaches, and whether I need to replace gaskets or sensors.
Also, if anyone has experience with O2 sensor placement issues or heat wrap, I’d love to hear.
Any recommendations for headers that strike a good balance between performance, durability, and street friendly characteristics would be super helpful.
