Tinted mirror LED signal mod with RAV4 heated blindspot mirror

Added these Me-so customs mirror lights today. Much brighter signals than stock and stealthy tint. Also installed the 16 RAV4 driver mirror. Around $150 total.

How does that effect your blind spot monitor on driver's side?

I do not have the BSM Blind Spot Monitor. That is why I changed to a blind spot mirror (the small convex mirror in the top left corner). Did not want to use a stick on convex mirror. The heated RAV4 mirror had the convex mirror built in.
Note if you have BSM in your Taco then the rav4 mirrors with BSM will not work with your BSM.

Awesome. I have the stick on blind spot mirrors but wish I had the installed like that.

The rav4 driver side mirror part number is 87961-42D20 and passenger side is 87931-42D50

I can say after just a few hours the wide angle blind spot it great. Can easily see an extra lane and a half next to me. May end up swapping the passenger as well since the stock is so limited on wide angle.

Exact fit replacement. Side note I ordered the passenger side rav4 mirror 87931-42d50

Not my truck but this is what you see with the cap off. The 2 philips screws are exposed that hold the signal in place. The 2 wires closest to the door glass are the heater. The heat coil wires work even is wires are switched. No polarity issue. Once screws are removed the plastic pulls out enough to wiggle out the stock signal. Have to remove two wires from the slot where they are tucked in and then unplug the signal light connector. Very simple 5 minute swap. Maybe 7 minutes if you install the rav4 mirror.

They are very stealth. They blend in well with the lower black portion of the mirror housings. You wouldn't know they were signals.

Some have asked if the rav4 blind spot sticks out higher than the regular mirror. It is actually inset and is lower than the regular mirror. Laid a flat edge across big mirror to show that the blind spot mirror does not stick out.
